The Life of Bismarck by JOHN GEORGE LOUIS HESEKIEL is a great book for learning about Otto von Bismarck the Iron Chancellor and the creation of the German Empire (which was Bismarck’s grand idea, and one that he masterfully executed). It was written in 1870 while the man himself was still living.
