Parallel Lives

Βίοι Παράλληλοι or Parallel Lives is a major work by the historian, philosopher and Apollonian priest Plutarch. It is a great source of our knowledge about the Greeks and Romans documented within it’s pages, and also how they were viewed at the time. The book is formatted as pairs of biographies, one of a famous Greek, and one of a famous Roman. After the pair comes a comparision, where the parallels of their lives are unfolded.
